According to data obtained from the ATIP-Plus database, over the past five years, a total of 679,000 study permit applications have been submitted to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for college-level education. This represents approximately 42% of the overall 1.6 million study permit applications received by the IRCC for all levels of education.

The ATIP Plus data shows that Indian students accounted for the largest proportion of these college-level study permit applications at 46%, followed by Nigerian and Filipino students at 6.4% each. It is worth noting that the number of Indian college students applying for study permits in Canada significantly exceeds the combined total of Nigerian and Filipino students.

According to the ATIP Plus data, the top three destinations for college students in Canada are Centennial College, Conestoga College, and Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology. These institutions have consistently attracted a large number of international students due to their diverse range of programs and state-of-the-art facilities.

Overall, the data obtained from the ATIP Plus database suggests a significant trend of international students seeking higher education in Canada, with college-level studies being a popular choice among applicants. This trend will likely continue in the coming years, as Canada's reputation as a world-class education destination remains strong.
