Skilled Work Experience

Core requirements for your skilled work experience

NOC TEER Categories

Must be in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3. Your experience can be in multiple NOC categories.

Minimum Duration

At least 1 year of continuous full-time work or equivalent part-time work (1,560 hours total).

Paid Employment

Must be paid work (wages or commission). Volunteer work or unpaid internships don't count.

Continuous NOC Work

Must work continuously in one NOC for at least 1 year. Hint: Self-employment is accepted!

Work experience must be within the 10 years before you apply (not 3 years like CEC).

Job Performance

Must show you performed NOC lead statement actions and most main duties.
